The fat nerds of the world have done more for the world than mountain climbers. Without fat nerds, you would not have the computer you are posting this from and the magnificent machine called internet that allows you to see this cartoon.

Without mountain climbers, your life would be pretty much the same.

And as a software developer I can tell you that the rush you get when you stay up three days in a row to write a beautiful piece of code is just as good as the one you get from climbing a mountain (yes, I have done both!).
