First of all: I'm Danish. I'm tired of Swedish, Norwegian and Danish people saying that they can't understand each other. I'm only 20 years old, I never been to Sweden or Norway more than two weeks all in all, and I understand both languages (the Norwegian has to be bokmål, though) pretty good, at least enough to have a conversation with a fellow Scandinavic-guy in our own, respective languages. I love it, I think it's beautiful how we can communicate with each other if we just try - our languages ain't that different, it's just about wanting to listen. :-)

I suppose that in Denmark, Finnish is the archetypal "impossible language" that no one understand one word of.

Besides that, we just whine how it's cold, high taxes, not so sunny and Russia is our neightbour and how Vanhanen isn't social enought to be our Foreign Minister (which reflects Finns very well).

That's actually the case in most cartoons and freehand-style comics. Check out The Simpsons or Donald Duck, they also only have 4 fingers on each hand.
