Okay, Mr. Zaragoza. Let's take a look at a couple of facts here. 1) Yes, the cartoon depicts a woman wearing a so-called burka. Is depicting a Muslim woman wearing a burka racist? No, in fact some Muslim women do wear burkas (even though not all Muslim women by no means wear burkas, but the strip doesn't claim so either). 2) You still claim that this cartoon "laughs at a particular group of people and laughs with those who see their own culture and/or religion as superior." Who do you think the joke is on here, the burka dressed woman or the drunk guy who mistakes the burka for a tent?!?! And I still don't see how this strip should advocate Christian supremacy. I don't see any Christian symbols in this cartoon, and I certainly don't undestand how it should be an advocate for Christianity? In fact, I doubt very much that the creators of this strip consider themselves to be Christian at all!

Jayman, There was a decision made to put the woman in a Burka and the "joke" clearly rests on that fact. Such a joke is only funny to those with certain assumptions about Muslims, and about certain cultural practices as different, "strange," and primitive. So it laughs at a particular group of people and laughs with those who see their own culture and/or religion as superior.

Read through many of the approving comments and you will see these assumptions in words not just a cartoon. The Muslim woman is also presented here as just a passive object with no other purpose but to stand and be a prop for a childish joke.

In my first comment, I asked if I was missing something? I'm willing to listen if someone can point it out, but no need to be condescending and curse at me O'Reilly style.
